    North Dallas and Dal-Rich Chapters Honored

    The RISD Council of PTAs awarded the North Dallas and Dal-Rich YMSL chapters the Golden Heart award.  This award is presented to individuals and groups that show unprecedented and continuing service that reflects the purposes of PTA and makes a positive change in the lives of students within the RISD Community.  The PTA specifically recognized our chapters' significant and ongoing contribution to the RISD Council of PTAs Book Fair, which raises money for scholarships.

    Congrats Pacesetter Chapter!

    The YMSL Pacesetter Chapter received the 2016 Outstanding Citizenship Award from the Town of Flower Mound. Way to go moms and sons for your continued dedication and service to your community!  Their efforts were recognized and the award presented at a Town Council meeting.

    Cities by the Lake Chapter Recruiting Now

    The Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) Cities by the Lake chapter is beginning its recruitment phase for incoming freshman. YMSL’s year runs from May 1 to April 30.

    YMSL is a nonprofit organization that includes mother/son members from Carrollton, Coppell, Little Elm and The Colony. Each mother/son member is required to a four-year commitment. The organization supports the community while allowing mothers and sons to stay connected to each other during very influential years.

    Westlake Chapter

    The Westlake chapter of the Young Men’s Service League has been active for less than a year yet its 140 members have already donated almost 2,000 hours of volunteer hours to the Austin community.

    The nonprofit service organization is made up of mothers and their sons. The purpose is to initiate and encourage young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community while at the same time, provide an opportunity to enhance mother/son relationships.

    Centenial Chapter Patriots Day Experience

    The Centennial Chapter recently participated in a mother/son outing to watch the movie Patriot's Day. Prior to the movie, the boys had the privilege of viewing a pre taped video of five responders from the Beverly, Massachusetts Fire Department. They have been serving at the marathon since 2002 and were present on April 15th, 2013 when the bombings occurred.
