YMSL Pacesetter Chapter (Flower Mound, TX) completed their Ultimate Gift project 9/30-10/1.  The chapter worked with Denton County Friends of the Family to transform their new thrift store location so it would be “store ready.”  DCCFOF is an organization that helps “move families from crisis to confidence by providing services to those impacted by rape, sexual abuse & domestic violence, while partnering with the community to promote safety, healing & prevention.  DCFOF Thrift Store generates significant funds each year to drive their organization and efforts.  DCFOF’s “old” store location was challenged due to its small and crowded space (in addition to the landlord increasing rent +25%).  YMSL Pacesetter was excited to work with DCFOF on the store project which entailed painting the new store in addition to designing, building, staining & installing beautiful “mixed material” shelves.  Work occurred over two weekends:  1st wkd chapter members shopped for necessities and built/prepared all shelving materials.  The following weekend (9/30-10/1) consisted of painting, shelf finalizations & installation.  The finished project sure looks terrific!  We’re eager to see the store when it’s stocked and open for business – should be very soon!
