Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) Coppell welcomed new members recently.  These members of the Class of 2020 attended a Boot Camp to introduce them to YMSL.  During the Boot Camp, the boys got to know each other and learn more about YMSL and their specific duties and responsibilities.  “I think YMSL is a great program.  I enjoy volunteering with my mom and brother, David.  I also like the fact that we are benefiting others in need,” said Nick Lucas an incoming member.  During the Boot Camp, several current members shared their favorite YMSL philanthropy experiences and demonstrated how a typical YMSL boys meeting is run.  “Boot Camp gave me an idea of the different jobs in YMSL and how it all works.  Both of my older brothers have done YMSL and enjoyed the jobs once all was done.  It is kind of neat I get to do this with my mom too,” said incoming member, Sam Kelly.  Sam went on to say, “YMSL is a chance to learn more about non-profits in the Dallas area and how we all can help.  I have volunteered at Stew Pot.  It showed me how the homeless really are not that different from me. “

YMSL is a non-profit organization that initiates and encourages young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community and provides an opportunity to enhance mother/son relationships.  To learn more about YMSL Coppell, go to https://ymslcoppell.chapterweb.net
